I love all things creative. Painting bestows upon me a sense of freedom – freedom of spirit and freedom of expression. In the space where creativity flows, feelings are expressed and moods are felt with brutal honesty, without fear of judgment.

I believe that every blank canvass presents the opportunity to tell a story and as an artist, my hope is that the viewer is left with a sense of that story, that feeling, that mood, and maybe relate to it on some level.

My art explores a contemporary interpretation of the various things in everyday life and my focus is on the abstract and expressive aspects.
I like to express not only the beauty that life has to offer but also the turmoil that it can produce.

On numerous occasions, my work has been my escape from reality and from the more challenging side of life.

I work predominantly with acrylics for the sheer flexibility of the medium. I love that it can be built up to offer substantial body as easily as it can be thinned down to model watercolour. I must admit I do favor building up multiple layers and using various mediums to texture my work which I think can breathe life into a composition.

Whatever the medium, my work is spontaneous, passionate and sometimes unpredictable but always reflecting an aspect of life, existence, being.
